About Me
I am Ilona Hubers, I am currently 22 years old and live close to Den Bosch. Before starting this study I have done 3.5 years of another bachelors study already, this study was attraction and theme park management at BUAS. The reason why I quit that study after 3.5 years is because there are almost no job opportunities, especially abroad, and since I want to move abroad this was not a good fit. However I did really like the study which is why I still stayed for so long. I hope that in the future I can combine the two studies as well.
Besides my studies I am also working part time at my local Kruidvat as a team lead, I have been working there for more than 6 years already.
I did have a few other jobs that I always combined with Kruidvat, I used to work at a cat daycare during vacations. Here I also worked with mentally handicapped people
since there was a coöperation between the cat day care and a day care for mentally handicapped people.
Later I also worked at the Fata Morgana in the Efteling for a summer right before they had to close due to Corona. This was a very nice experience since this
was my first experience actually working for a themepark, and this was right before my specialisation in attraction and theme parks started at school.
Then last but not least I did an internship at Grachten Atelier in Utrecht at the creative department, meaning that I gave many of their creative workshops such as:
- Bob Ross painting
- Action painting
- Mosaïcs
- Painting crazy animals
- Roy Liechtenstein paintings
- Andy Warhol paintings
- And many more!
Besides my study I also have quite a few hobbies, one of which is dancing which I do at LiFe Dance dance studio in Den Dungen. Video's from dances I participated in during their shows are available under this text. I am now in a beginners group but I have been asked to start doing masterclasses since I have the potential to become a lot better according to my teacher, which I will start doing next season. Besides dancing I am also studying the Korean language on my own at home, I am now in the B1 level which is intermediate. I have been to Korea to learn the language more 4 times already now as well and I am doing project X for a Korean friend of mine.
